Intervention and exhibition at The Dock, Carrick on Shannon, Co Leitrim, Ireland.

This work proposes a re-evaluation of the importance of collecting water both as a focal point for social activity and community activism and offers for consideration the potential of alternative, non chemical and sustainable solutions to water management.
This temporary work located in the grounds of The Dock situates the cultural institution at the centre of dialogue about possibilities for future sustainable practices and at the core of distribution of a life sustaining substance.

Rain Catcher was part of AFTER, an artist led initiative by artists Carol Anne Connolly, Gareth Kennedy, Alice Lyons, Christine Mackey and Anna Macleod. developed following Trade residency with Alfredo Jaar. AFTER was awarded a One off project award by The Arts Council of Ireland.
